Pakistan Food Portal was built to solve a real gap in the market — food lovers across Pakistan had no single, reliable platform to discover restaurants, browse menus, compare deals, and find bank card discounts all in one place. Existing options were fragmented, outdated, or limited to a single city.
We set out to build a comprehensive, scalable food portal that works across Pakistan — starting with Lahore — giving users everything they need to decide where to eat, from detailed menus and location-based search to exclusive bank offers and meal suggestions.
Developed by Muhammad Ramzan & team at Tech Hype, the project was completed and shipped in 4 months, available on both iOS and Android.
The app was designed to cover the full journey — from discovering a new restaurant to checking the menu, finding a discount, and getting directions — without leaving the app.

The most technically demanding part of the project was the location-based microsearch system. Users needed to find the right restaurant fast — not just by name, but by proximity, cuisine type, current offers, and availability — all filtered simultaneously in real time.
Generic search solutions weren't precise enough. We needed results that were hyper-relevant to where the user was standing at that moment, not just what city they were in.
We built a custom search layer that combines the user's live GPS coordinates with multi-parameter filtering — cuisine, distance radius, bank offers, and open status — processed and ranked in real time before results appear on screen.
The result is a search experience that feels instant and local, surfacing the most relevant restaurants within seconds regardless of how many listings are in the database.
